Runway Pilot9/20/2023 Ruminating On Blaberus Discoids Runway BehaviorHolometabolous Insects such as cockroaches have been investigated to understand associative learning using classical and operant conditioning. Though many studies on learning ability exist the amount of information found on the Blaberus discoidalis is substandard. Given the paucity of comparative data using insects such as roaches, demonstrating experimental control over runway behaviors was our aspiration. Two runways that differed only in color acted as the tools of discovery. Over the course of the study, the realization was that discriminating pigmentation was not inherently a proclivity. Though riddled with error, the data from the study proved effective in displaying the lack of a difference between discriminating the two visually distinct (to us) runways by maintaining correspondent behavior.
